Thrift Shop

The Thrift Shop was opened in June 2015 in response to the closing of the Goodwill store in Colonial Beach.  Through the generosity of the owners of Bowie's hardware, space was made available for St. Peter's to start a Thrift Shop ministry that offers clothing, household items, furniture, and gift items at reasonable prices.  All profits from the shop are returned to the community in the form of community meals, assistance to needy families, donations to local non-profit organizations that serve our community, and scholarships for local students to attend college.  The shop operates off the generous donations of church members and so many others in the community, and is operated solely by volunteers.

Our volunteers work hard to price and display donated merchandise in the Thrift Shop in a way that's attractive and practical for community shoppers, and we are always busy serving our customers on the days we are open.  We recently celebrated our second anniversary, and commemorated all the efforts of our wonderful volunteers.
